DERRICK ROBINSON- A CERTIFIED JOHN MAXWELL LEADERSHIP COACH, TRAINER, AND SPEAKER HAS ACCEPTED...

Derrick E. Robinson – A Certified John Maxwell Leadership Coach and Speaker, Has Joined The Rescue Me Project Team, and Will Serve As Coordinator of The Group’s Z-Factor In-School Leadership Program.


Derrick is a resident of the Shoals Area.  He and his wife, Gloria, have two children and two grand-children.

Derrick was educated in the Florence City School System, and was a part of the first integrated class at Richards Elementary School in 1965-1966.  He is a 1973 graduate of Coffee High School, and furthered his education at Clark College (now Clark Atlanta University), and the University of North Alabama.  He is a graduate of Leadership Shoals – A division of the Shoals Chamber of Commerce, and is a certified John C. Maxwell Leadership Coach, Trainer, and Speaker.

Derrick’s employment summary includes more than 30 years as a sales, marketing, and management professional in cable television, broadcast radio and television, and automotive sales. 

Although recently retired, Derrick continues to serve as a guest instructor within the Lauderdale County School System and Florence City Schools.

As someone who endorses the idea of “Servant Leadership that Adds Value to Others”, Derrick is invested in our community.  He has served civically with Big Brothers/Big Sisters of the Shoals, Hospice of the Shoals, the Florence Kiwanis Club, and the City of Florence Civil Service Board.  He currently serves as the Board Chair for the N.W. Alabama Attention Homes.

Derrick is a member of the First Missionary Baptist church of Sheffield, where he serves as a Deacon, and as a part of the Sunday School Teaching Staff.

His motto is; “Attempt something large enough, that failure is guaranteed – Unless God Steps In!”
